My name is Amanda Smith and I grew up in Tacoma, Washington. I went to the University of Washington where I recieved my BS in molecular biology with a minor in chemistry. I went on to earn my teacher certificate in 2000 and most recently completed my masters in education this past summer.

I taught 9th grade science in Sumner, Washington for my first 3 years of teaching and then moved to Stuttgart, Germany where I have taught integrated science, biology, human anatomy, algebra 1, and yearbook.

Music is a dear love of mine and I am lucky to have my piano for my relaxation tool. In my free time I enjoy taking hikes all around Germany and finding new villages to explore.
